Patrick has a PhD in neuroscience from Stanford University and writes on science, technology and culture for publications such as The New Yorker online and Slate. His scientific research has been featured by The New York Times, National Geographic and Radiolab, among other outlets. He is working on a book on the role of elegance in neuroscience. He lives in San Francisco.
